Core and Core-Shell Quantum Dots

Evident's proprietary quantum dot technologies are commercially available as EviDots.

EviDots are available as core quantum dots in their fundamental state, or as core-shell semiconductor nanocrystal quantum dots enhanced with our proprietary coating technologies. Core EviDots are a fundamental material for use where electron transport is important as well as the underlying technology for Evident's proprietary core-shell quantum dots. Core-shell EviDots are generally for use where superior fluorescence and protection are important.

EviDots have tunable optical and electronic properties imparted from particle composition and size. The semiconductor composition provides the limits of bandgap tunability. Solution phase chemistry and temperature controlled growth enable control over particle size. The end result is EviDot nanomaterials with finely tuned photoluminescent and electroluminescent properties.

The unique shells surrounding the core in core-shell EviDots stabilize the materials, improve quantum yield, and reduce photodegredation. The properties of EviDot core-shell quantum dots include:

EviDot Test Kits

EviDot test kits are ideal for researcher and product developers who wish to experiment with small quantities of the nanomaterials. Each kit consists of standard colors, providing a selection of wavelengths in a convenient package to conduct research and characterization or for teaching purposes.

EviDots Quantum Dot Test Kits are sold at concentrations where the optical density (absorbance) equals 0.5 through an optical path of 1mm, measured at the respective first exciton peak.
