Core and Core-Shell Quantum Dots
Evident's proprietary quantum dot technologies are commercially available as evidot® quantum dots.
evidot quantum dots are available as core quantum dots in their fundamental state, or as core-shell
semiconductor nanocrystal quantum dots enhanced with our proprietary coating technologies.
Core evidot quantum dots are a fundamental material for use where electron transport is important as well as the underlying technology for Evident's proprietary core-shell quantum dots.
Core-shell evidot quantum dots are generally for use where superior fluorescence and protection are important.
Available evidot quantum dot material systems include:
- Lead-Sulfide (PbS) Core evidot® quantum dots
- Cadmium Selenide Zinc Sulfide Core Shell (CdSe/ZnS) evidot® quantum dots
evidot quantum dots have tunable optical and electronic properties imparted from particle composition and size. The semiconductor composition provides the limits of bandgap tunability. Solution phase chemistry and temperature controlled growth enable control over particle size. The end result is evidot nanomaterials with finely tuned photoluminescent and electroluminescent properties.
