Notes on Quantum Dot Properties

  1. Estimates based upon Yu, Qu, Guo, Peng, February 20, 2003. Includes core/shell diameter only. For total diameter add approximately 4nm for ligands
  2. Measured at first exciton peak, units expressed in L x (mol x cm)-1.
  3. Molecular weight for core material including weight from shell and ligands.
  4. Quantum yields were measured using a Varian spectrofluorometer. Fluorescein dye was used on 490 and 520nm EviDots. Rhodamine 6G was used for all other wavelengths. Batch to batch variability quantum yields occurs.
